Many of the things I wanted to say today are in the photos I uploaded earlier, but there is something left I want to write about. It’s the South African taxi. When you hear that word, you might think of a yellow car with a light on top of it. But that’s not the case in here. In South Africa, taxi means much more than that. It is not only the way people have to get where they want to go at a cheap price, it’s also an experience. About 20 people can fit in a taxi, and you can find all kinds of human beings in them. Black, white, coloured, Indian, Asian… All of them use taxis everyday. It’s part of their lives, and now it’s part of mine, too. Not everyone can say that an old, white van, full of people belongs to their culture, but this is South Africa, not the rest of the World.
