By the end of the movie Boyhood, a girl talks about how she thinks the moment seizes us, and not the other way around. And I share that idea. We spend so much time trying, without succeeding, not to anticipate the moments yet to come or reflecting on the ones that have already passed, wishing to be able to seize the ones we’re living right now, that we forget that, at the end of the day, we’ve seized every single one of them. That’s not the problem. The issue is, maybe it’s those moments that aren’t fulfilling us, maybe our life doesn’t have enough experiences to live and enjoy. So lets stop trying to seize empty moments, and lets begin to look for the ones meaningful enough to seize us.
