Today a question popped up in my head: can you be good at something you don’t like doing?
At first my answer was yes, of course. I didn’t even think about it. But now, I start to wonder if I’m right. Giving it some thought, I enjoy pretty much all of the activities I’m good at. Obviously, I don’t like having a hundred maths problems to do, but I do find pleasure in finding the key to solve them, unravelling the mystery. And I am good at that. Maybe that pleasure can only be taken away by an external factor, like you being forced to do it. But I think in a primal state, where nothing interferes between you and whatever you are trying to do,if you are good at it, you won’t be able to dislike it. There’s something childish about it, and it’s always good to be a little childish, isn’t it?
